Cleaning Care
The soft, delicate feel of our new Stardust Soft Sheer Vertical belies the durability of the material. Like its counterpart Shangri-La, these blinds are made from sturdy, knitted polyester fabric and may be feather dusted or vacuumed at a low suction setting.
Spots or stains can be lightly rubbed clean with a damp sponge and mild soap. More difficult stains may require washing in water. For this, remove the vane from the window; remove the polyester film insert, and submerge, soak and rub lightly. Lay flat or place back in window to dry. To avoid discoloration of the material, we recommend against the use of chemical cleaners.
Stardust Soft Sheer Vertical's vanes can also be ironed if they wrinkle. Remove the polyester film insert and iron the sheer fabric on level 3 or "polyester" setting using a household iron. Iron the vane on level 2 or "silk" setting. Stardust Soft Sheer Vertical sheers may also be steamed. The head of the steam machine may be in contact with the sheer material for 3-5 minutes. Ultrasonic cleaning is also effective.
